Local wrestling teams compete at Windsor Christmas tournament

WINDSOR – Over the weekend, local Chenango County wrestling teams were in action at the Windsor Christmas tournament. Sherburne-Earlville led all local teams with a 10th place finish as Norwich came in 26th, Oxford-Greene in 36th, and BGAH in 39th.
Norwich's Maverick Beckwith won the 124 weight class and took down three top 10 wrestlers. He is currently ranked second at 131 pounds in the latest NY-USAW polls.
S-E's Landon Andrade finished second in the 285 weight class, losing in the finals in a 18-8 major decision to Towanda's Mason Higley.
S-E's Drew Telesky went 5-1 in the 101 weight class for third place as Nick Miller took fifth in the 170 weight class to conclude the top local finishers.

NO Maverick Beckwith 5-0; took down #9 ranked Will Russell from Manhasset in a 7-1 decision, a 6-0 shutout against Tioga's 2x State medalist Logan Bellis, and a 20-4 technical fall against 10th ranked Drayton DeKay of Waverly.
NO Evan Heath 0-2.
OG Kade Mustin 3-2; lost to Tioga's Bellis and DeKay, won two decisions and a 1:02 pin against Poquoson's Logan Keese.
BGAH Boston Besse 0-1.

OG Troy Braman 2-2; two pins, including a :41 pin against Sus Valley's Brodie Howard.
OG Collin Morlando 1-2; won by a 10-0 major decision against Ithaca's Kenzie Burke.

S-E Cameron Mason 2-2; two pins, including a 1:26 pin against SVEC's Gabriel Benjamin.
