NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Library has a variety of programs and events planned for the first half of 2025, including art classes, concerts, and, for the first time, a luncheon.
In January, the library will host two winter art programs. A children’s art class will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 5 p.m. An adult art class will follow on Monday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m. Both classes will feature sunflower painting projects, with materials provided free of charge. Registration is required for both programs. Visit the library or call 607-847-8564 to register.
In February, the New Berlin Art Forum will sponsor a Valentine’s Day concert, “Valentine’s Day with Elvis.” Elvis tribute artist Aric McKown will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. in the library’s community room. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
In April, the library will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. Registration will open in March and is required to participate. Updates will be posted on the library’s social media, website, and local newspapers. The event is free but limited to children 12 and under.
In May, the library will introduce a Mother’s Day luncheon with live entertainment, replacing its traditional Spring Tea. More details, including the date, will be announced soon. This free event will require registration.
The library has recently added several new books to its collection, including Daniel X: Lights Out by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein, Wings of Fire: Escaping Peril (Graphic Novel Book Eight) by Tui T. Sutherland, Who Was Shirley Chisholm? by Crystal Hubbard, and The Snow Thief by Alice Hemming.
The New Berlin Library is located at 15 S. Main St., New Berlin, N.Y. Hours are Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon.
