UV/GMU/Norwich bowlers split with Sidney/Unatego

SIDNEY – On Tuesday, the UV/GMU/Norwich bowlers traveled to Sidney for a MAC league matchup at East Main Lanes. The Storm girls earned the sweep while boys were swept by Sidney/Unatego.
The UV/GMU/Norwich girls earned the 2248 to 2166 victory. The Storm were led by Natalie Smith, who finished with a team-best and all-around high of a 484 series with a 187 in her first game. Lee Clipston rolled a 467 series as Shelby Rose had two 148s for a 455 series. Sarina Bell bowled a team-high game of a 188 and finished with a 453 series.
Amelia Beckwith and Layla Stevens split time on the lanes with Beckwith bowling two games to finish with a 274 and Stevens with a 115.
Kayleigh Northrup (461) and Calli Ruff (449) led Sidney/Unatego.
The Storm boys put up a good battle with the scores being close, but Sidney/Unatego dominated the lanes with two bowlers rolling a 611 and a 612. The final score was 2918 to 2718.
Teagin Eccleston led the Storm with a 578 series, including a 190 in his second game. Jacob Prentice followed with a 568 series with a 210 in his first game. Dawson Robinson finished with a 560 series with a 225 in his final game. Brayden Prentice bowled a 552 series with a team-high 245 in his final game. Kameran Franklin capped off the team’s scoring with a 520 series.
Reece Yeomans (612) and Caidyn Lambrecht (611) led the Sabers to victory.
UV/GMU/Norwich heads to Greene/Oxford on Friday at 3:45 p.m.
