Unatego-UV-Franklin Wrestlers win the Hoosick Falls Duals
HOOSICK FALLS – Over the weekend, the Unatego-UV-Franklin Spartans wrestling team competed in the Hoosick Falls Duals, where they came away with the win against five other teams.
The Spartans defeated Schuylerville 40-15, Monument Mountain, MA 48-24, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 60-12, Hoosick Falls 41-27, and lastly Pine Bush 36-24.
Wyatt Meade, Gavin Nordberg, Abdeen, Abdul-Jamil, and Ahmet Zaggout went 5-0 in the meet as the rest of the team also did well in their respective matches to take the victory.
Unatego-UV-Franklin has already qualified for the Section IV, Division II championship, which takes place today, Jan 22 in Waverly. Good luck to all wrestlers.
