Norwich girls hang on to defeat Union-Endicott

ENDICOTT – After defeating Owego on Saturday, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls basketball team traveled to Union-Endicott on Monday, where they returned home with a close 41-35 victory.

After a slow start by both teams, Norwich quickly adjusted to take and hold the overall lead, even with U-E fighting back in the second half.

Josey Ryan led the Purple Tornado with 17 points and went six-for-10 at the free throw line. Coming off her 20-point performance, Brynley Ryan finished with eight points in Monday’s game. Emma Urgo and Kerragan Reid also dropped eight points, with Urgo scoring seven points in the fourth quarter.
