SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys basketball team hosted Mount Markham for their final home game of the season, which was also senior night at Kevin Vibbard Court.
Congratulations to Blaine Fleming, Brayden O'Hara, Garret Winton, Isaac Porchea, Parker Goedel, Charles Potrzeba, Nick Hull, and Dilen Maceda. Unfortunately, S-E fell to the Mustangs 57-47.
Both teams started out strong, with S-E holding a 15-14 edge after the first eight minutes. However, Mount Markham picked up the pace in the second half and outscored the Timberwolves 23-6 before the break.
S-E faced a 47-27 deficit heading into the fourth quarter, where they attempted a comeback and outscored the Mustangs 20-10. However, trailing for most of the game ultimately hindered their efforts.
Garret Winton led the Timberwolves with 19 points as Nick Hull added nine points. Isaac Porchea posted seven points as Parker Goedel knocked in two threes for six points. Brayden O’Hara also finished with six points.
S-E (6-12) concludes the 2024-25 regular season on the road against Adirondack on Thursday and at Little Falls on Monday.
