SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Vikings boys’ basketball team hosted Stockbridge Valley for their final home and regular season game of 2024-25. The Vikings will now prepare for sectionals with the Section III seeding meeting taking place this evening.
OV dropped to Stockbridge Valley 63-40 in a highly competitive and physical game.
The key takeaway was that the Cougars pounced early on, having success rebounding and moving inside for the easy layup. Also, Stockbridge Valley outscored OV 20-9 in the first quarter and never lost their momentum with the Vikings trying to battle back late in the game.
The Cougars also had two leading scorers that were hard to contain defensively for the Vikings
Lukas Schieferstein led the Vikings with 14 points, knocking down two threes, along with Caleb Loomis and Owen Davis. Loomis followed with 10 points as Davis had nine points.
