B-G boys drop to Candor in opening round of Class C tournament

CANDOR – After a solid regular season, maintaining resilience against tough league opponents, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys’ basketball team earned the 11th seed in the Section IV, Class C tournament, where they were matched up with number six’s Candor. B-G fell 61-46 to end their 2024-25 season with a 11-10 record.
B-G had a slow start in the opening quarter but picked things back up before the break. However, Candor was strong from start to finish, leaving no room for any comeback. Candor even had one leading scorer post 34 points as B-G could not contain him.
B-G saw a good team effort on offense, despite the loss with Isaiah Hampton and Aidan Haynes both leading the Bobcats with 11 points, each with a three in the first quarter. Haynes had a total of three three-pointers. Timmy Kinter added nine points, including two threes.
Michael Lipani finished with five points as Levi Fletcher had four. Cyrus Megale, Jaedan Walling, and Layne MacDermott all added a bucket.
