CHENANGO COUNTY — Celebrate St. Patrick's Day all weekend long with local Irish music band the Ryan Clan.

The group will be performing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at the Jericho Arts Council Theater, located at 15 North Main Street in Bainbridge; from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at Hidden Springs Brewhouse, located at 170 County Road 31 in Norwich; and from 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day, at Park Place Sports Bar and Grill, located at 7 East Park Place in Norwich.

This weekend's performances will include Frank Revoir on vocals and guitar; Bill Scranton on guitar, mandolin, and vocals; Tom Ryan on banjo and vocals; Patrick Ryan on vocals; and Dan Ryan on bass and vocals.

The Ryan Clan first formed in the 1970s, and is made up of musicians who are all a part of the Ryan family. Lead singer Frank Revoir said they play mostly Irish tunes with a few pop hits mixed in.

"It’s fun to get together with family and play, and we do take pride in our Irish heritage," said Revoir.

The band is unique in that they only perform for two brief seasons per year: in March for St. Patrick's Day, and each fall for "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day" events.

"St. Patrick’s Day, and then we typically play in the month of September for a lot of ‘Halfway to St. Patty’s’ gatherings and parties. So March and September, typically, and occasionally people will hire us to do a private party in the summer or something," said Revoir.
