B-G baseball comes away with a big win over Oxford
OXFORD – On Friday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to Oxford for a local MAC non-league matchup. B-G came away with a big 13-3 win to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Bobcats got on the board first with four runs and only extended its lead by scoring at least one run in every inning.
B-G’s big first inning started off with Parker Buttice drawing a lead-off walk before Kaiden Seymour’s infield single. Both came in to score off Connor Davy’s two-run triple to left field.
Timmy Kinter drew a walk as Brayden Swartwout reached on an error and Davy was caught stealing home by Oxford’s Landen Olinski, who has made a few plays already on the season.
With two outs, Anthony Cafasso drove in two runs with a double to right field before Oxford’s Conner Dunagan got the final out with a strikeout.
Connor Davy led the Bobcats with four hits and three RBIs while Cafasso also drove in three runs on the day as Kaiden Seymour and Brayden Swartwout each had two hits. Kinter, Seymour, and Mason Acquisto all had one RBI.
