Oxford-Greene hosts track meet featuring B-G, D-H, and Delhi

GREENE – The Oxford-Greene track and field team held its lone meet of the season on Wednesday afternoon, featuring Bainbridge-Guilford, Deposit-Hancock-and Delhi. B-G boys’ earned the victory as Oxford-Greene came in second, Delhi third, and D-H fourth.

The B-G girls won the meet with 87 points, Delhi in second (67 pts), Deposit-Hancock in third (32 pts), and Oxford-Greene in fourth (6 pts).

Boys:

Track:

The Oxford-Greene boys took the victories in all but one of the team relays with the top finish in both the 4x800 and in the 4x400. The Bainbridge-Guilford boys’ took the win in the 4x100 with Oxford-Greene in second.

B-G’s My’Kel George took the victory in the 110 meter hurdles with a new best time of 21.20 seconds with Oxford-Greene’s Sherman Ludolph behind him in second (PR 21.4) and B-G’s Jackari Garipoli in third (PR 22.7).

Ludolph and Garipoli also competed in the 400 meter hurdles as the event’s only competitors. Ludolph earned the top finish with a time of 1:13.10 as Garipoli followed in 1:16.60.

Connor Davy took the victory for the Bobcats in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.50 seconds with teammates Harpo Hardt and Isaiah Hampton tying for second with a time of 12 seconds. Anthony Graham took fourth with a new best 12.6 seconds as Oxford-Greene’s Michael Slater came in fifth place (PR 12.8 seconds).

Oxford-Greene’s Gordon Smith took third behind two Delhi runners in the 1600 meter run. Smith ran the event in 4:58.50 with B-G’s Owen Degan in fourth with a new best 4:58.60.
