Afton softball falls to unbeaten Deposit-Hancock
AFTON – The Afton Crimson Knights softball team continued their four-game home stand as they hosted an unbeaten Deposit-Hancock team on Tuesday. The Crimson Knights fell 8-0.
Afton held the defending Class D champions to one run after three innings from stellar defense behind pitcher Jenna Wilson, who struck out four batters. McKenna Ross, MaKenna Schultz, and Misty Bushaw made tremendous plays in the outfield, which limited extra base hits. Alyssa Spathelf even doubled up a base runner on a pop fly and Megan Racine and Miranda Schultz kept base runners close after throwing a runner out at second.
