Norwich baseball drops to Oneonta

ONEONTA – After one of their best defensive games of the season at home against the Yellow Jackets, the Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team suffered a hard 33-3 loss to Oneonta. Oneonta swept the three-game series. The Yellow Jackets sealed the deal with a big 12-run second inning and put up 21 hits.

Norwich got on the board in the third inning with two runs and then scored its final run in the seventh inning.

Zack Parker led the Purple Tornado with two hits as Owen Olds drove in two runs on a triple. Troy Schack also had a pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the seventh inning.
