B-G baseball falls short to unbeaten Deposit-Hancock

DEPOSIT – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to take on the unbeaten Deposit-Hancock Eagles on Wednesday afternoon. B-G had a brief 2-1 lead until the Eagles scored three runs in the fourth inning and limited the Bobcats to one additional run to secure the 4-3 victory.

Both teams got on the board in the first inning with one run apiece.

B-G’s Connor Davy scored all three runs with scoring on groundout by Brayden Swartwout after a lead-off single to start the game. He also led the bottom of the third off with an infield single, advanced to second on a sacrifice play, stole third, and scored on Timmy Kinter’s two-out RBI single.
