Greene baseball picks up big win over Walton/Downsville
CONKLIN– The Greene Trojans baseball team hosted Walton/Downsville in a makeup-game on Saturday morning, played at Sus Valley High School. The Trojans are now even on the season at 6-6 after picking up a big 12-2 victory.
After Walton/Downsville took an early 1-0 lead, Greene added two runs in the second and then extended their lead to 9-1 after the fifth inning.
The big six-run bottom of the fifth was sparked by Lincoln Youngs leading off with a double to left and scoring on Parker Flanagan’s RBI triple. Trent Drew followed suit with his own RBI triple and runners were at the corners after a one-out walk following a pitching change.
