OTEGO – Coming off a big win against Edmeston to open the 2025 Otsenango PONY league season, the Sherburne-Earlville 16 and under team returned to action on Monday at Unatego. S-E fell 16-9.

Unatego held a 7-0 early advantage in the bottom of the first inning before S-E got on the board and added another run in the third. Despite attempts to keep in pace with Unatego, S-E could not hold them defensively.

S-E saw a lead-off single from Colin Pudney in the top of the third before he stole second and third, and scored on Lucas Newman’s RBI groundout. Lucas Martinez came up big with a two-run double in the top of the fourth inning to spark S-E’s four-run inning. An error and a passed ball drove in the other two runs.
