NEW BERLIN - The Village of New Berlin is launching an innovative summer youth program, ‘Kids Learn, Create and Give Back,’ for ages 8 to 12.
The summer program is in partnership with the New Berlin Cultural Center and will run from 8 a.m to 12 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from July 28 to August 14, at the Phoebus Masonic Lodge on North Main Street in the village and at Hyde Park; weather permitting.
New Berlin Cultural Center Director, Ballet Instructor, and Artist Andreia Keller said the program will offer not only fun and learning, but a great opportunity for community engagement.
Keller said participants will receive two meals each day that include a nutritious breakfast with a mix of Chobani yogurt products and lunch from New York Pizzeria.
“In a refreshing twist this year, the young participants won't just enjoy their meals,” said Keller. “They'll help prepare them, set up tables and assist with cleanup duties.”
Organizers hope this will foster a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and appreciation among the kids.
