SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves girls’ soccer team hosted an unbeaten Utica Academy of Science squad Wednesday night in non-league play. The Atoms, entering at 4-0, proved tough once again, topping S-E 5-2.

UAS struck first midway through the opening half on a direct kick from just inside the 10-yard line, sneaking the shot across the net from left to right. The Atoms added another goal late in the half before scoring again in the final minute to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Despite the deficit, S-E goalkeeper Allesandra Ingerto kept the Timberwolves in the match with several strong saves, while Olivia Parker and Sadie Davis created chances on the offensive end.
