OTEGO – After finishing third at their annual NY Pizzeria Tournament over the weekend, the Unadilla Valley Storm girls’ soccer team traveled to face the Unatego Spartans on Wednesday night.

The game was evenly matched throughout the first half, with both teams heading into halftime tied 0-0. UV came close to scoring when Molly Gorrell broke free for a shot, but her attempt hit the near post.

Coaches Jill and Rob Catena noted that the teams were evenly matched in both talent and intensity. Unatego broke through early in the second half, then added a second goal off a corner kick late in the game to seal a 2-0 victory.
