B-G volleyball advances to next round of sectionals; defeats Union Springs

BAINBRIDGE -- After finishing runner up in the MAC title game, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats volleyball team earned the eighth-seed in the Section IV, Class B tournament. The Bobcats received a home match on Monday, where they faced ninth-seeded Union Springs.
B-G defeated Union Springs 3-1 with final scores of B-G 25-22, Union Springs 25-21, B-G 25-21, and B-G 25-20.
Kaylynn Crandall led the Bobcats with 18 assists, seven digs, and five aces as Alessandra Cafasso added 12 kills and seven digs. Peyton Umbra finished with eight digs and six kills while Madisyn Peck had nine digs in the win.
B-G advances to play Lansing, who is the top seed in Class B, on the road tonight at 5 p.m. The winner of the match will continue on to pool play.
