Norwich Wrestling hosts Coach K Duals

NORWICH—The Norwich Purple Tornado Wrestling team hosted the 2025 Coach K Duals on Saturday at Jack Jones Gymnasium, welcoming Fulton, Vestal, Oxford-Greene, Sidney, Dryden, and Sullivan West.

Fulton went 6-0 to win the meet with Oxford-Greene in third at 4-2 and Norwich took fifth at 2-4.

NHS:

Junior Maverick Beckwith picked up his 150th win in his home gym and is currently 11-0 on the season. He won by forfeit, tech fall, and had four pins on the day.

Koltyn Collins went 5-1 at the meet with three forfeits and two pins. He lost in a 10-8 decision to Oxford-Greene's Colton Hurlburt.

Jadyn Carpenter went 3-3 with three win by pins, including a quick :45 second pin against Dryden's William Woodard. Carpenter lost to Oxford-Greene's Kade Mustin in a 1:30 pin.

Anthony Roberts went 0-2 in the 138 weight class.

Noah Eddy went 4-2 with four pins, including a 3:13 pin against Oxford-Greene's Braylen Beebe.

Bryce Wellington went 5-1 at the duals with one win by forfeit, two tech falls, and two wins by pin.

Seventh grader Kolden Downey made his varsity debut at the Coach K Duals and went 5-1 with two wins by forfeit and two pins. He lost to Oxford-Greene's Troy Braman in :55 seconds.

Matthew Allen went 1-2 at the meet with a win by forfeit.

Collin Howe finished 3-3 with two wins by forfeit and a 3:08 pin against Sullivan West's Aaron Adams Thomas. He lost to Oxford-Greene's Isaiah Sexton in a 2:30 pin.
