UV bowing sweeps Afton/Harpursville
BAINBRIDGE — The Unadilla Valley Storm bowling team traveled to Bainbridge’s Galaxy Bowl to take on Afton/Harpursville. Both the Storm boys and girls swept the Crimson Knights 4-0.
Boys:
The Storm boys defeated Afton/Harpursville by a final score of 2482-1417.
Brayden Prentice led UV with a 577 series, including a high game of a 269. Teagin Eccleston had a 202 in his first game and finished with a 523 series.
Landin Eccleston added a 514 series as Wyatt Eastman rolled a 442 series.
Gavyn Bass and Liam Hoag split time on the lanes for the Storm with Bass bowling two games and finishing with a 351 series and Hoag with one 75 game.
The Crimson Knights were led by Xander Barber, who finished with a 425 series, including a 184 in his second game. Jordan Truman added a 396 series as Gabe Truman finished with a 354 series.
Anthony Quaglia rounded out the Afton/Harpursville scoring with a 242 series.
Girls:
The UV girls picked up the 2265 to 1312 series win. The Storm were led by Natalie Smith with a 530 series, including a 186 in her first game. Amelia Beckwith finished with a 479 series as Layla Stevens rolled a 465 series. Kylie Menard added a 397 series.
Sarina Bell and Hunter Sherman split time with Bell bowling two games and finishing with a 296 series and Sherman with a 98 game.
The Crimson Knights were led by Piper Harden with a 492 series, with a 172 in her first game. Morgan Crosby finished with a 356 series while Pierce Hanson had a 261 series and Abi Banks with a 203 series.
UV returns after the new year at Sidney on January 6 and Afton/Harpursville heads to Greene/Oxford on December 30 at 10 a.m.
