B-G girls stay unbeaten and advance to Kazalski tournament championship

BAINBRIDGE— The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ basketball team hosted the opening round of the 47th Kazalski Christmas tournament on Monday, featuring Windsor, Harpursville, and Spencer-Van Etten.

B-G won the opening round over Windsor 58-33 and will face Harpursville in the championship this evening.

The Lady Bobcats held Windsor to single-digits in all but the third quarter. B-G stayed hot the whole contest, even posting 21 points in the third quarter. The Bobcats also went 12-for-16 at the free-throw line.

Kamry Patten led the Bobcats with 14 points, where she went six-for-eight at the line and had two three’s.

Emma Kinter and Marissa Mayo both finished with 13 points. Kinter went two-for-two at the line and knocked in three three-pointers. Kinter also had eight defensive rebounds while Mayo added nine rebounds altogether.

Jalyn Winans added 12 points with two three’s as Jayslin Henderson finished with four points and Peyton Umbra with two free-throws in the first quarter.
