SHERBURNE - This holiday season, members of the New York State Police came together to support three children who tragically lost their mother in a fatal motor vehicle crash on December 4 in Earlville.
State Police Investigators Dan Sheehan and Lauren Hoffman, along with Crime Victims Specialist Nicole Sheehan, organized a collection among State Police members, primarily from Norwich, to help provide Christmas gifts for the children during an incredibly difficult time.
Members shopped for the gifts, and last week Investigator Dan Sheehan, Investigator Jeremy Hicks, Sergeant Jordan Zongrone, Trooper Adam Thompson, retired Zone Sergeant Christopher Marinelli, and Crime Victims Specialist Nicole Sheehan delivered them to the children.
The NY State Police thanked UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital for their generous contribution toward the purchase of the gifts, and the Sherburne Fire Department for allowing the use their firehouse to present them. Their support helped make this family's difficult time a little brighter during the holiday season.
