HALFMOON -- Norwich's Maverick Beckwith and Bryce Wellington, along with Sherburne-Earlville's Drew Telesky, and Yanni Drapaniotis of the Unatego/Franklin/UV team traveled to the Impact Athletic Center near Saratoga, NY to compete in the 2026 Eastern States Classic.

After taking second in last year's tournament, Beckwith won it all this time around at 150 pounds. Beckwith won all six matches with two pins, a tech fall, a 9-0 major decision, and a 5-0 decision in the finals.

Teammate Bryce Wellington fell 0-2 at 138 pounds.

S-E's Drew Telesky fell in a 5-2 decision and in a forfeit in the 103 weight class.

Unatego/Franklin/UV's Yanni Drapaniotis won the 190 pound weight class, winning all six matches. He won by a :23 pin, a 17-2 tech fall, an 8-6 decision, a 17-4 major decision, and a 3:43 pin.
