GREENE— The Greene Trojans tennis team hosted Oxford in a neighborly matchup on Thursday. Greene came away with a 4-1 victory, picking up all three singles and one doubles match.

Shane Rideout defeated Emily Williams 6-1 and 6-0 in the first singles.

Kenny Baucas played three sets against Oxford’s Gaven Dibble. Baucas won the first set 6-4 before Dibble got the second 6-4. Baucas won the final set 6-2.

Eighth grader Coben Kimble defeated junior Paige Rickard in both sets. The first set was tied before Kimble won 7-4 and 7-6 in the first. Kimble won the second set 7-5.

Richard Hunter and Bennett Paden earned the lone point for Oxford as they defeated Josiah Boel and Dawson Kimble 6-4 and 6-2 in the first doubles.

Laken Loveless and Ben Newvine got the win over Margaret Rovente and Christina Muppalla 6-1 and 6-3.
