NORWICH ― The online auction for the Value-Add Shopping Center, known to local residents as the Grand Union Plaza, located at 54 East Main Street in Norwich, began at 11 a.m., Monday, April 20, with a starting bid of $500,000 and could have promising results as 428,562 views have been logged before the bids even opened.

A virtual tour of the 85,453 square foot plaza and information regarding bidding, property financials, and auction guidelines are provided on the site.

In February, the Norwich Grand Union store closed its doors for reasons not specified, yet many residents speculated the prices were too high to compete with other stores in the local area.
