NORWICH — Ten students at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus were inducted into its Lambda Xi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.

The induction ceremony held at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus recognized students who have distinguished themselves in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Membership in PTK is one of the highest honors bestowed upon a student. Qualifications include enrollment in a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree program, completion of a minimum of 12 semester credit hours through SUNY Morrisville, and a minimum GPA of 3.4.

"It is with great pride that we welcome our newly inducted members," said Sarah Casscles, Norwich Campus director. “These students' achievements reflect their hard work, integrity, perseverance, and commitment to excellence in academics.”

The new inductees are Vivienna Allaire, Nursing A.A.S., Garbiella Arshi, Technology Management BTech, Kathleen Bordonaro, Individual Studies – Nursing Intent A.A.S., Sarah Bump, DSP III Microcredential, Levi Brown, Individual Studies A.A.S., Lydie Carelle Tsapgou Mawoube, Individual Studies – Nursing Intent A.A.S., Casey Martinez, Human Services A.A.S., Lavendar Gonzalez y Perez, Human Services Certificate, Tishena Parry, Human Services Leadership B.P.S., Erin Shelton, DSP III Microcredential, and Julie Tilt, Nursing A.A.S.

SUNY Morrisville’s curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at the Morrisville and Norwich campuses. The College is positioning itself to offer expanded graduate offerings, workforce programming, and microcredentials. Future development of industry and educational partnerships will increase student success and response to student demand and the market.
