Harpursville/Afton baseball competes at the Livingston Manor tournament

LIVINGSTON MANOR— The Harpursville/Afton Crimson Hornets baseball team traveled to play in the Livingston Manor tournament on Saturday, where the team went 1-1.

Game 1:

Liberty 16 - H/A 2

Harpursville/Afton tied the game at two in the top of the fourth inning as Isaiah Hopkins doubled to drive in a run after Trenton Franklin walked to lead off the inning. After two walks with one out, Davin Warren walked following a pitching change to bring in another run. However, Liberty scored 14 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to win.

Game 2:

H/A 11 - Rockland 9

The Crimson Hornets held on against the host school after scoring insurance runs in the bottom of the third inning. H/A took a 7-0 lead before Rockland scored five runs in the third inning. The Crimson Hornets scored four in the bottom of the third and limited Rockland, who had scored four in the fourth. Davin Warren and Trenton Franklin both led the team with two hits and one RBI. Liem Donahue, Jayden Lane, and Jaxon Yereb also drove in runs in the win.
