Gil Polk, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Friends of Rogers, said “There’s something powerful about caring for the land together; we leave the world a little better than we found it, while letting the forest, the air, and the water restore us. Volunteering at Rogers is more than giving your time; it’s giving yourself the chance to reconnect with nature, community, and purpose. We like to say, ‘there are a million doors to Rogers.’ We can’t wait to welcome you through yours on May 2nd!”

Volunteer registration is open at parks.ny.gov. The day will feature family-friendly projects. Rogers Center is located at 2721 NY-80, Sherburne, NY. Park in the lot adjacent to Route 80 and walk or wheel over the bridge to the ‘Volunteer Welcome Center’ entrance at the Visitor Center. Bring comfortable, closed-toed shoes and sunscreen if needed.
