O-G baseball drops short to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON—In back-to-back road games in the Binghamton area, the Oxford-Greene baseball team played against non-league opponent Binghamton at Conlon Field on Tuesday afternoon.

O-G fell just short 1-0, despite outhitting the Patroits 3-1.

After four scoreless innings, Binghamton got on the board with the game's only run in the bottom of the fifth inning on an error.

O-G's Lazarus Ludolph tried to score the tying run but was caught stealing home to end the contest.

Cooper Davis led the team with two hits as Kiefer Evans also had a hit in the loss.

Jackson Roth, Blake Barrows, and Trent Drew reached base on walks.

Nic Dodzweit worked three and a third innings on the mound, allowing just two walks and struck out six batters.

Cooper Davis went two and two thirds in relief, allowing the one run on one hit, a walk, and three strikeouts.

O-G (2-3) hosts Walton/Downsville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
