NORWICH – Thanks to sustained support from the Community Foundation for South Central New York and the Documentation & Heritage Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY), the Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) is currently undergoing extensive capacity-building and strategic development. These initiatives have prompted the organization to focus on enhancing the local history experience for community members and regional audiences.
As CCHS continues to refine programming and strengthen relationships, the museum seeks qualified candidates for the position of patron engagement coordinator. The successful applicant will coordinate program implementation, facilitate school field trips, oversee visitor services, manage volunteers, and participate in a variety of community development activities. The patron engagement coordinator will work closely with the entire CCHS team to strengthen the museum visitor experience and deepen connections to the varied communities of Chenango County.
“Our current situation has provided new opportunities to carefully consider how we accomplish our mission,” said Jessica Moquin, CCHS executive director. “Over the next few years, we plan to develop a wide variety of engagement initiatives. Bringing a Patron Engagement Coordinator to our team will allow us to adapt and better serve our community.”
