NHS flag football resumes game at JC; wins big against the Wildcats

JOHNSON CITY— After a suspended game on March 31st due to lightning, the Norwich Purple Tornado flag football team resumed its game against Johnson City on Tuesday evening. Norwich, who led 21-0 at halftime, came up big with a 40-14 victory to snap a two-game skid.

Josey Ryan went 15-for-20 for 185 yards and two touchdown passes. She also added 137 yards rushing with two touchdowns on the ground.

Senior Alivia Burrell had a reception touchdown as well as Arabella Dwyer with a 48 yard touchdown catch and run and had 61 receiving yards in total.

Brynley Ryan led Norwich with 82 receiving yards and a touchdown catch as well as a punt return for a 75 yard score. Reagan Decker came away with an interception on the defense.

Norwich (3-2) hosts Owego on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.
