NORWICH— The Norwich Purple Tornado flag football team hosted ninth ranked Owego on Thursday night, where Norwich came up short 27-21. Norwich was down 21-0 at the half and rallied back in the second half, outscoring Owego 21-6.

Josey Ryan finished 15-for-21 for 187 yards and a touchdown pass. She also had 10 carries for 49 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Brynley Ryan had nine catches for 110 yard and two touchdowns. On the defense, Brynley added eight flag pulls and had a sack. Arabella Dwyer had 36 yards receiving on the offense and Brooklyn Burke also helped the defense with five flag pulls.

Norwich (3-3) heads to Greene on Friday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
