B-G softball drops to D/H

BAINBRIDGE—The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team hosted a tough Deposit-Hancock team on Tuesday night. B-G had a 4-3 lead going into the final inning, but Deposit-Hancock scored six runs in the top of the seventh and won 9-4.

After being down 2-0 after one, B-G got on the board in the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run by Tori Suda to center field.

B-G held the Eagles in the top of the third before adding three more runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Alessandra Cafasso hit a three run homer to center with two outs.

Aside from Suda's and Cafasso's big hits, Abbagayle Fitzgerald had the team's only other hit on the day.

Breanna Casey reached base with two walks and Jayslin Henderson and Fitzgerald walked once.

Emma Kinter reached on a hit by pitch in the loss.

Kate Baciuska went six and a third inning, allowing seven earned runs on 10 hits, no walks, and struck out three batters.

Railey Odell got the final two outs in the seventh, allowing three earned runs on three hits, a walk, and had one strikeout.

B-G (7-4) hosts Unatego this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
