S-E flag football drops to Westmoreland/Oriskany

SHERBURNE— Coming off a win on senior night on Tuesday, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves flag football team returned to action on Thursday, taking on Westmoreland/Oriskany. S-E fell 19-6 against the Bulldogs at home.

Emma Webb went 18-for-26 for 103 yards with one interception. Eighth grader Abbie Green, who became the first player in NYSPHSAA section III history to catch 100 passes in a single season in Tuesday’ game, completed one pass for 25 yards for a touchdown.

The team’s lone touchdown was caught by Sadie Davis.

Davis led the team with 10 catches for 87 yards and the touchdown. Green caught nine passes for 37 yards as Kadyn Babcock caught a 14 yard pass and Bella Whorrall caught a three yard pass and went 2-for-3 for 13 yards passing. Olivia Parker carried the ball three times for five yards rushing.

S-E (3-9) wraps up its regular season at Jamesville-Dewitt on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
