Several communities are hosting Memorial Day parades and ceremonies

CHENANGO COUNTY - Several area communities will hold Memorial Day parades and services Monday, May 25.
Norwich
The Norwich Memorial Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Lineup will start at 10:15 a.m. The parade will march down Main Street to West Park, where speakers and a ceremony will follow.
Guilford
Memorial Day events will begin at 8 a.m.
Bainbridge
A ceremony at Greenlawn is scheduled for 10:15 a.m., followed by the parade at 10:30 a.m. A ceremony will follow at Village Green Park at 11 a.m.
Sidney
The Sidney Memorial Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. This year, SFCU will combine its Hometown Parade with the Memorial Day Parade.
Oxford
The Oxford American Legion’s Fort Hill Post 376 will hold its parade and four memorial services rain or shine.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. with a wreath-laying ceremony and rifle salute at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on West State Street.
Parade lineup will begin at 8:15 a.m. at the American Legion, 17 S. Washington Ave. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. sharp.
Following the Riverview Cemetery ceremony, expected around 11 a.m., the Legion honor guard will travel to Warn-TenBroeck Cemetery, about seven miles south of Oxford, to place a wreath and salute the deceased.
