Musicians invited to join Norwich City Band, concert season to start soon

NORWICH —The Norwich City Band will be starting its 2026 summer concert season at East Park in June with rehearsals at 6:30 p.m. on the 12, 19 and 26. Friday evening concerts will start at 7 p.m. beginning on July 10 and ending on August 14. An additional concert will be held at the Veterans Home in Oxford on July 26th at 2 p.m.

Musicians from high school and older are invited to play with the band. Musicians will need to bring their own music stands, instruments and clothespins. Music will be provided. Chairs needed for musicians will be provided by the city.

Musicians will receive a $20 stipend for each rehearsal and/or concert that they take part in. The Norwich City Band looks forward to seeing a good turnout at its summer concerts. Concerts will be conducted by Gary Solomon.
