NORWICH – On Saturday June 13, local pickleball enthusiasts and spectators gathered at Weiler Park to enjoy a day of sportsmanship and entertainment at the third annual Commerce Chenango Pickleball Tournament.

The all day affair held matches for women's, men's, and mixed doubles teams from all pickleball skill levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The tournament ran from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with each of the approximately 100 teams playing at least three games on their way to the top of the bracket.

The weather on Saturday was perfect for the sport. Not a drop of rain fell and it was warm enough for players to show off their best pickleballing outfits while working up a sweat.

The event presented by Commerce Chenango Chenango Chamber Tourism and Economic Development, was in part sponsored by the Pennysaver, Impact Marketing, and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.
