OXFORD— Pumpkin Shell Nursery School is proud to report that its Second Annual Parent-Child Golf Tournament was a tremendous success. The tournament was held on Sunday, June 14 at Bluestone Golf Course in Oxford. The event drew 20 teams for a beautiful day on the course with picture-perfect weather making it an ideal afternoon for families and community members to come together in support of the school’s programs.
This year’s tournament introduced an exciting new addition — a pull-a-string activity that was an instant hit with participants of all ages. The fan-favorite raffle, featuring incredible baskets donated by Pumpkin Shell families and a generous group of local businesses, capped off the day with plenty of excitement and community spirit.
The event would not have been possible without the generous support of our hole sponsors and raffle donors, whose contributions directly benefit the children and families of Pumpkin Shell Nursery School. Every dollar raised helps sustain the quality early childhood programming that has made Pumpkin Shell a beloved cornerstone of the Oxford community.
“This event just keeps getting better,” said Ashley Paul of Pumpkin Shell Nursery School.
“Seeing 20 teams out on the course, the laughter during the pull-a-string, the energy at the raffle — it’s exactly what community looks like. We are so grateful to everyone who came out and supported our program, and we’re already looking forward to making Year Three even bigger.”
Planning for the third Annual Parent-Child Golf Tournament is already underway. Stay connected with Pumpkin Shell Nursery School for updates on next year’s event.
