Norwich PONY drops to Schenevus 11-1

SCHENEVUS — The Norwich PONY league team traveled to take on Schenevus on Tuesday, where they fell 11-1. This game came the night after Norwich attempted a comeback against Walton.

After being down 8-0, Norwich scored its lone run in the top of the sixth.

Channing Foulds walked to lead off the inning, stole second, and advanced to third on a wild pitch before scoring on Koltyn Collins’ groundout RBI.

Norwich was held to just two hits on the night as Rocky Burke doubled and Alex Beiu singled in the loss.

Connor Shepard, Joey Portelli, and Mason Brunick reached base on two walks, Beiu, Collins, and Foulds each walked once.

Foulds started on the mound for Norwich, allowing five earned runs on six hits, one walk, and struck out three batters. Beiu worked in relief, allowing six runs (five earned) on five hits, four walks, and one strikeout.

Norwich (0-6) hosts Stamford this evening at 6 p.m.
