EOH is so excited for this duo inspired by Syracuse’s long history of the blues. Max and John carry on the tradition as one of the area’s foremost acts with their talent on guitar, harmonica and piano, with vocals of mixed traditions from America’s roots. The result is a refreshing blend that takes listeners from early jazz standards through more contemporary funk-driven arrangements. Both are native to the area where they currently live and perform. As previously stated by Max: “John Driscoll and I will be performing as part of the Earlville Opera House Arts Center's Courtyard Series! It's a huge honor to be included alongside other talented acts and at a venue with such a long and important history. If you are not already familiar, EOH has done an incredible job providing access to the arts and lifting up local history and I have enjoyed visiting as a patron on many occasions. The space holds a special place in my heart as my father was part of the team who renovated and reopened the venue back in the early '70s. This was what brought him from Manhattan to CNY, where he met my mom and started a family. In a strange way, I may not have existed were it not for the EOH. We hope you'll consider grabbing some tickets and spending the evening with us! It's going to be a special time indeed.”
While on site you can visit the Artisan Gift Shop and the annual Quilt Show where you can vote for your favorite in EOH’s “People’s Choice” contest.
The new concession stand will feature adult beverages including a specialty drink in addition to other beverages.
Earlville Opera House Arts Center is located at 18 East Main Street in the village of Earlville. At EOH they believe accessibility and inclusion are critical to everything they do. The historic Opera House has been upgraded to ensure accessibility throughout the building, including a hearing loop system in the 1892 theater provided by Hamilton Hearing LLC.
EOH events are made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with support from the Office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, and through the generosity of EOH members.
Special thanks to Sidney Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the 2026 Summer Courtyard Series!
