SHERBURNE - Sherburne’s Heritage Day will be held on Saturday, July 25th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Park on School Street. Champ Drive Local Scout Troop 66 will be on hand to raise the flag at 10 a.m., followed by a special presentation of banners recognizing local Revolutionary soldiers. 

There will be food, crafters, and music by Smyrna Citizens Band from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a Little House on the Prairie musical performance by campers from Jenni’s Music Studio at noon.

There will be hay rides and children’s games, and the museum, log cabin and school house will be open. Come see the 1936 Sherburne Firetruck and the 1930’s Sherburne News Babcock Optimus Printing Press. 

There will also be tractors, a combine, and agricultural history, including a hay press demonstration and a few animals to visit with.  

Local chainsaw artist, Kyle Rapp, will be creating a piece on site. Besides all the things to do there will be lots of food. Gilligan’s Ice Cream, Chobani yogurt, Jeff McDermott with chicken BBQ and other food will be for sale. In addition, the Historic Park Society is hosting a bake sale, and there will be Amish baked goods and maple syrup, just to name a few.

Raffle tickets are still available for purchase, and prizes will be drawn at 1:30 p.m.
