Sherburne man charged with DWI, assault after allegedly running over his passenger

SHERBURNE – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 26-year-old Sherburne man Saturday night, claiming he forced two female passengers and a baby from his vehicle before running one of them over.

Lt. Richard Cobb said police believed Lee A. Warner was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Cobb said Warner was traveling at around 11 p.m. with two adult female passengers and an infant in a car seat when a heated dispute began. During the argument, the vehicle pulled over along Granville Hill Road in the Town of Sherburne so one of the passengers could exit the vehicle.
