TIOGA – Tioga eliminated Bainbridge-Guilford from the Section IV Class C playoffs Tuesday night taking control of the game in the middle two quarters Tuesday night.

Kara McDuffee scored 23 points for the Tigers and Kacie Hoyt had 17. Tioga advanced to the Section IV Class C finals against Harpursville, and have the type of balanced lineup that could give the MAC-champion Hornets a lot of trouble.

“They are just a good basketball team – solid one through five,” said B-G coach Bob Conway.

Tioga let 17-6 at the outset before B-G – after four timeouts used by Conway – closed the gap back to 20-14. “I thought we did a nice job getting back in the game, and I knew right then that we needed Chelsi (Rosa) and Corrine (Riegel) to score, or we would be in trouble.”
