Kicinski to run on third party line

EARLVILLE – Michael Kicinski will try another run for Congress in the November election, this time on the Tea Party Patriots ticket.
The New York District 22 candidate lost in the federal-level Republican primary Tuesday to incumbent Congressman and fellow Republican Richard Hanna.
The Earlville resident made the announcement from the Chenango County Courthouse steps in Norwich yesterday afternoon.
“We want to thank all the people who came out and voted for us, and all the people who worked so hard on the campaign. We thank the individuals and groups that have endorsed us: Carl Paladino, Doug Hoffman, New York State Right to Life, and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms,” Kicinski said after the race early Wednesday.
Kincinski took in about 30 percent of the votes district wide, and as much as 45.5 percent in Chenango County. He said the results show Congressman Hanna’s win was “far from unanimous.”
“The people deserve a representative who stands for the values of the Republican Party,” he wrote in a press release following the event.
