NEW BERLIN – Down by 13 points early in the second half, Unadilla Valley swung the momentum once it switched to a full-court pressure defense.
Nate Shackelton hit all four of his three balls in the second half for UV, and Justin Hofer along with David Dufresne paced the Storm (4-4) with 21 points apiece. Unadilla Valley closed the game with 31 points in the fourth quarter and finished with nine three-pointers. “The pressure defense got us going, and we started to get more confident taking it to the basket and hitting threes,” said UV coach Matt Osborne.
Andrew Golden scored 31 for Oxford, Paul Wonka netted 11, and Cameron Heggie had three first-half three balls as Oxford took a 31-27 lead into halftime.
