NORWICH – Despite its small lineup, Norwich still had too much depth for Windsor in winning its second meet of the week Friday night.

Norwich’s Maya Blaisure, and Danika Tworkowsky garnered early wins in the 200 IM and 50 free, and NHS diver Stephanie Meyer improved by over 40 points from earlier in the week scoring 151.50 to capture the diving.

Windsor won three events, but was typically outgunned for two of the top three spots. Blaisure’s win in the medley headed up a 1-2-3 finish, said Norwich head coach Kevin Diefenbacher. “Windsor has some up-and-coming young kids, we just have too much for them right now,” the coach said.

Nearly a year ago to the day, Norwich faced Windsor in a dual meet, and Diefenbacher said the girls returning from that team are already ahead of last year’s pace. “We’re right there and where we want them to be (with their times),” Diefenbacher said.

Tworkowsky and Blaisure had two individual-event wins and four overall, while Lauren Llewellyn won one event and teamed on two of the three victorious relays.
