C-CARE presents: ‘A Place at the Table’

NORWICH – It is estimated that nearly 50 million Americans do not know where their next meal is coming from. The Chenango Community Action for Renewable Energy is showing a film free of charge to those interested in learning more about the issue.
“A Place at the Table” tells the powerful stories of such people, who maintain their dignity even as they struggle just to eat. The film shows that ending hunger is possible and is in the best interest of all.
The showing will take place beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 9, 2014 in the Founders Room of the United Church of Christ located at 11 .W Main St, Norwich
Community members who attend are asked to park their vehicles on the street, in Hayes Street lot, or County Office Building Lot and not the church parking lot.
As always, admission is free and everyone in encouraged to come early for food and conversation.
The video presentation is part of The Second Tuesday Monthly Film Series, sponsored by C-CARE (Chenango Community Action for Renewable Energy) and Chenango County Peace Action.
The organization’s next film has been scheduled for January 13, title to be announced.
