OXFORD – Tuesday, a motor vehicle rolled from a gas station parking lot and traveled unoccupied to the Chenango River where it became completely submerged.

The Village of Oxford Police Department responded to a report of an alleged stolen motor vehicle at the BlueOx located on North Canal Street in the Village of Oxford on Tuesday.

According to police, the operator of the vehicle – a red Ford Ranger – parked his truck in the BlueOx parking lot then went into the store. When the man returned, the vehicle was no longer there, and police said the driver thought the vehicle had been stolen.
